As far as I know and according to Krause 33rd edition the Egyptian coins in the time of Sultan Hussein, King Fuad and King Farouk were minted in either; (according to mint mark) BP - Budapest, Hungary H - Birmingham, England KN - King's Norton, England But some coins have no mint mark, where are these coins minted ? Thanks

Not sure. Cairo had it's own mint during the Ottoman period, but I don't know if the British kept it going. If Cairo didn't have an operating mint at the time, then they'd probably have been struck at The Royal Mint, London.

From what I understand all coin minted prior to 1916 were minted in Egypt. The mint mark was the Arabic word MISR (Egypt) on the reverse of the coin above the rulers accession date.

So, you mean that those Egyptian coins from 1916 to 1950 which do not have any of these mint marks (BP,H or KN)were struck at The Royal Mint, London. Sap, do you have a refrence that you can send me a link to. Thanks

No, I don't know for sure. It's just an educated guess. London made the non-mintmarked coins for most other British colonies.
