NGC - Check out this 1974-S Cent graded NGC Mint Error MS 64. This coin was struck on a defective 10-cent blank, leading to an exceptional error coin that would stand out in any collection!

Which leads to a begged question:

If a new person comes on here to coin community with a similar but genuine error, how would we respond in a case like this? I feel the responses would be mixed perhaps, some saying PMD (cause it actually does look like PMD at my first glance) all the way to legit mint error. I am fairly certain that several more of these off-metal/planchet errors are out there stuck away somewhere waiting to be discovered. Of course we would want weight and size measurements to help discussion on said error and to compare to genuine errors like this example...

Still a spectacular error nonetheless here...

My first question or request would be to see an edge picture. Second would be weight. Third question would be, Man why can't I find something like that.

seeing the full slab can help here too, so struck on a dime 'Blank' not a planchet? Hmm, I'm not sold yet.

Tomfoolery at the mint, Dearborn?
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

possible. If this is a NGC slabbed coin, I wish I could see the entire thing.

looking closely at the edge of this coin, I see no sign of the slab coin position holder fingers at all.

Bobby, where did you find this coin posted at?
