A few years ago I changed my focus to recent deceptive struck counterfeits and that has consumed much of my "free" time since! I have 40+ articles on the subject published in Coin Week along with several published in other venues such as ANA's Numismatist, EAC's Penny-Wise, the LSCC's Gobrecht Journal and C4's Colonial Newsletter. I wrote the counterfeit section for Whitman's new work on American Silver Eagles written by my friend Joshua Hernandez. I have received awards for counterfeit work from The Anti-Counterfeit Task Force as well as PNG and founded a large expert Group on Face Book focused on counterfeits.
