Hey!

Is this an example of Struck Through Grease?

Thanks!

Looks more like a tapered planchet. Weigh would confirm.

I could be wrong but see neither, looks like damage to me. A nice crease, that can be seen on the obverse and just flattened out and smeared on both sides. Because of this, unsure of the date too but would narrow down to 53 or 55, in my opinion.

It means that it is not round. From approximately 1 o'clock to 4 o'clock, it's oblong, wider than it should be. Your scale only reads to the tenth too, you need one that weighs to 100ths and it is not reading 2.1 not sure what it is but it is not 2.1.

Thanks, Nick, I noticed that and forgot to add to my earlier post.

I'm waiting for the update on the scale/weight but it has the appearance of a tapered planchet to me as well.

I'm not sure how the field could be flattened out without doing quite a bit of damage to the rim. Maybe it is a little out of round so the diameter would be helpful as well.

Nice job eagle eyes on the scale discrepancy. I'm not seeing the weight reduced by almost 33% looking at the anomaly in these images (if it is tapered).
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

I dunno dude, these pics may not show what happened but there is damage all over this coin. We also know that the scale to the tenth is unreliable. The crease in the coin, out of round and lots of damage, to me adds up to just PSD and I always look for other reasons.
