Hi all! Ive come across a 1962 D penny that is super shiny, gold colored, and it has what appears to be an extra rim (of sorts). Is this just junk or is it something special? I have attached a photo of it next to a regular penny to show the peculiar color and hopefully you can see what I mean by the "extra rim".

SDM, from your description it sounds like you have a gold-plated cent in a bezel. Pictures will allow diagnosis.
