The so-called "Zoell dot" was a small die chip between the leaves toward the rim. It IS NOT a '36 dot. 7-8 years ago, there was a poster named "Dean" that used to start threads about all kinds of dates with dots ... all over the coins. The "true" '36 dots numbered 3 to 5 and most are in museum and were all privately held specimens to start with. This "Zoell" variety isn't on the same planet.
Here's a pic of, I think, what he's talking about. There's got to be thousands and thousands of them and, if he has 4, then they aren't even scarce:
