Not a die issue, but during the cutting of the blanks. The stock metal was reinserted and this blanks cut was over a previous cutting.

This removed part of the metal on the blanks. Creating a "curved clip" blank.

When the blank was run though the setup process, the missing area left a weakness 180 degrees from the curved clip blank, and the Planchet then was showing the double curved clip (from two different stock metal events) and now the weakness call a Blakesley affect is seen on the planchet.
(also seen on the coin as well)Note on this clip that two different events happened that left two clips on top of each other on this coin. What two events? A previous insertion of the stock material, was moved and second cut was introduced, leaving to cut blanks affected differently. (this is the second blank that was cut)

(A very rare clipped planchet)When the coin was struck it was a normal coin process, but because of the blank/planchet events, the coin is now a "Curved Clipped" Cent.

The issue was during the blank creation and passed on to the planchet event, when struck created a coin with a mint error. (blank/planchet issue not a clip by dies)
Single Curved Clips:

There are other examples of these with the normal Double clipped planchets:
Double Curved Clip Coins:

Triple clip planchets,
Off center: (Not struck in the collar, thus no reeds on the edge of the coin)

Struck Triple curved Clips:

Straight clip planchets, These happen when the clip is not aligned correctly and the edge is attempted to be cut, but no metal was over that area.

So there are different planchet cutting events, Straight, Curved, Single, Double, and Triple cutting events. These are caused in the blanks creation. Not an issue with the die cutting the coin.
