Hello

I am not familiar with the strike quality on barber
dimes. Maybe if someone could get me in the ballpark
on this one. Pics. are not super and color is off some.
Liberty is full and the reverse seems pretty close to Unc.
Obv. not sure. I do plan on putting it up for auction here
once I bet a better idea on it's grade.

Thanks

Overall I think this coin would grade EF-45.
Rest in Peace

So far, kind of stuck on the line :)
2 or 3 more opinions should do it.

I think this coin is on the fence between EF45 and AU50 and the quality of remaining luster will tip the balance. If there is a good amount of luster it will make AU. If luster is weak, EF45 will be more appropriate.

Based on what I can see I would vote for AU. I see some hairline scratches on Liberty's cheek that look like slide marks from storage in an album with removable windows. Otherwise the color and surfaces look original.

Thanks all. The last remark about the coins luster is a good one.
It does show some some decent finish left in hand. AU-50 it is then.
That does make about $20.00 diff. in value.

The bands above and below LIBERTY are not strong and therefore despite the nice detail on the rest of the coin, the grade cannot be more than EF-40....IMHO.
