I found this 1996 (which I wish was in better shape) and thought the date photo resembled the photos on the various variety and error sites but, believe it may just be a well placed hit on the date. I'm not seeing much else with the rest of the coin. I'm still very much a rookie, so thought I would get some expert opinions.

Just a regular business strike cent with flattening on the devices.

Yes looks like circulation flattening to me too, although the partially struck up LIBERTY might be the result of a little grease in the die used to strike this coin.
