This coin is a friends, so I did not take it out of the sleeve. but even in the sleeve it's noticeably "curved" from the roller. It's a really cool coin and appeared to maybe have mint errors on reverse.

Hoping for some information/"IMO's" without removing from sleeve. but will ask if need be.

And merry christmas & happy hanukkah!!!

Ondiwave, That is a nice coin. 1698 Austrian Silver 1 Thaler. There is info at this link on Coinscatalog.net: https://coinscatalog.net/austria/co...dart-coinage
I don't understand what you are referring to when you say the coin is "curved". The reverse has what appears to be some post mint damage "IMHO". Maybe you could post some close up shots of what you believe are "mint errors".

Merry Christmas to you and everyone here.

Ondiwave, a similar piece was discussed here in the forum within the last month or so. I remember because I helped ID it via Google reverse image search. That hanging ram at the lower reverse is what jogged my memory. Unfortunately, I can't find the thread.

silvering, see "roller press" in the following article.

@silvering Here is what I saw: The yellow shows what think is maybe a die break & the blue shows unevenness that would have resulted from die break vs post mint damage. IMNO (N-newbie) lol

The next shows a pic offline vs this coin. It appears to be off center.
