I've got a coin I need verification on. I'm not sure of the value at all. Is there anyone that could help me out?

Thanks in advance.

@med, first welcome to CCF. Second, I'm about 95% sure that the heart-shaped void visible on the side with the cross is indicative of this being a reproduction. I'll try to dig around and find a reference for that, but someone may weigh in with more info too.

I don't see this coin as purporting to be Hiberno-Norse but rather an Anglo-Saxon penny of Aethelred II struck by Leofstan at Canterbury. That said, it appears to be a modern cast in base metal. I hope I'm wrong.

This appears to be a match: https://store.a12north.co.uk/produc...nny-978-1016

So yes, modern cast replica in base metal. I apologize.

Nice work @j1m for chasing down a12north as the proprietor of these replicas bearing a heart-shaped void/ trilobed counterstamp. I was almost positive that I had seen them somewhere and that somewhere was this previous CCF thread:
