So I have this quart baggie of 1950s LWCs. Pretty sure that there are no 55DDs, as I probably checked them in the original sorting years ago.
Is it worth my time to go through them to search for BIEs, EIRs, etc?
Mine eyes be old and weak. Thanks for your suggestions!

I say let someone young look through them. Save your eyes and your brain.

How about engaging a younger member of your family (nephew/niece, grandchild, etc.) or the neighborhood to help you and turn them into a YN?

Added: I like the way you think @1847!

To me, stuff like this is junk. I have probably 2K wheats from '55-58PDS that I've never searched.

It's a personal decision. I'd go through them, only looking for the rather obvious--massive BIEs, stunning lamination issues, striking woodies, prominent die cracks, etc. I wouldn't spend 30 minutes on each under 50X+ magnification. After all that, keep any you want and disperse the rest. Fun.

It might be fun to look through them if you can survive the eyestrain. If not, I like the suggestion of passing them on so that a YN can enjoy.
Rest in Peace

I'm with the frog on this one . Sure , you'll find BIE's and filled numbers on dates but they are so common as to not have a premium .

John: yes indeed, it is a K350. Only drawback is that the lettering is wearing off of the keys. It came with a mouse that I put away, and use a Logitech Ergo M575 trackball.
Spence: I never spawned, don't really have much family that I'm close to, and don't live close to them anyway. And being a hermit, I don't really know any young people.
Coinfrog: that's why they're in a bag. Along with bags of other wheaties sorted by decade. That's as far as I went with them. Well, I did look for a few key dates (unsuccessfully).
1847Bill, jbuck, and others: Yes, passing them to youngsters is a great idea.
T-BOP: I'm coming up on 500 posts, so a contest seems in order. However, there will be a condition - winner MUST pass these off to young numismatists!
