Idk what your setting but mine has the exact same placement as any of a high D. Your welcome to disagree but so far you're the only one to disagree.

If you want tomorrow I will made you your photo of what the High it is. It is valuable, and prob .only one die has your MM.

PS. on my new book your coin will be included if you will agree. I have 4 step of the MM. your for now it is first between 3 and 4. I answer because it is very interesting. The damage it is is not mint to be analyze more. Hint: To be a high you must pass the line . I will work with your photo and show. Do not worry, is the first coin I see with this MM, also the orientation is light different.

Halo: What you show is not same. Here it is a new one. Bowers do not explain the orientation or the level of MM. In that time was not necessary. If you call to day will say: show me the coin. Free to call him or mess.

Q David Bowers put out that bounty for this specific coin of the OP which is the FS-401 high mint mark, however I dont believe he is still offering that bounty since it hasnt been mentioned anywhere that I'm aware of since that original post and it said 60 days so that should close the offer after that, but the OP is welcome to attempt a contact and find out.

There are more 'pocket change' hunters than in the past but still a tiny group, and fewer know of all the various interesting varieties to search for - spence is a good example that even those involved may not even be looking so its just possible these are out there but few are searching for them so again great job to Mr. J At least some like this one are in the strike it rich with pocket change 5th edition book so hopefully more will start to search and find some of those examples, and can always use the forums, free online sites and other books as additional references for other potential coins to search out.

Silviosi seems to believe he may have found another or several others with differences in the mint mark orientation or level from this known FS-401 example and if so that information hopefully will be shared as that would be interesting since only the one has been mentioned elsewhere.

If you can show me proof of diff variants of high mm I'd love to see them, from all the pics of diff ones I've seen there all are showing the same position. The top left corner of the mm is just a hair under the peak of his hair tie.

Again I would love to see evidence of any variations to the mm on these coins. If there is other variants then I #331;eed to know how to tell so u can try to find 1 of each lol.

I do not have antenna to much to write where I am.

MrJ you catch the hint. your coin it is not under the peak. it is on the peak. The line is exact over. The most famous is over and not parallel with this line light SE.

You wont proofs, you wait my book. I will not post more before, I do not know you. Data was right about Dave. him understood that are more the one die on same (almost) position.

To collect all? I wish good luck to all. I have to photo from different sources (collectors) to come at the conclusion that was only one engraver, one punch used which produce this nice MM positions.
