I think the coin needs to be out of the 2x2 and a full tight pic of both sides, cropped to just a tad bigger than the coin. We can see the point on the edge but the other pics will give it context.

I'm thinking it's post mint damage. I can't think of a way that could happen at the mint. Others may have an opinion.
