1945-P Silver Nickel - Lamination

While upgrading my early Jefferson nickels, I find, while getting photographs for my records, a very nice lamination on the reverse. Also noted near the lam is a possible die crack or is it a tear as part of the lam? At the bottom of the is a nice divot of missing material and a possible fold-over of the surface.

Nice example. Lams are often found on the warnicks.

thanks folks! I'll find a nice home in the nickels Dansco album too.

Now onto the other nickel that has a lot going on - of which I do not believe is post mint damage, but I'm also not sure what caused the things you will see on this up and coming nickel

my guess is that line is part of the lam rather than being due to a die crack

Nice Dear, me I will go more with crack planchet on this. Nickel (silver) de-lamination normally take others form.
