Doing a little coin roll hunting tonight and came across this. I believe it is the DDO FS-101 from what I can see. Let me know your thoughts. Would it be worth grading based on its condition? I have 2 graded examples of this coin, it this one is not in the best of shape. There is a good size scratch on the reverse. Thanks

I think you definitely have the DDO-001, FS-101 DDO! Congrats!

Worth grading is another question. I will let others weigh in.

@Mr.Breeze.Do to the condition of the coin this one is a really challenge. I will be happy to see an 101 in the wild. Me I do not have this one and for moment I will not pay 1000$, the 102 yes which it is the sister of the 101.

I will explain: The LIB is flattered so hard to see. Also the IGWT. This it is by photos. In hand is other game and story.
The Y it is very similar on both, also the R and T.

What left us it is the upper lips under the nose. That part could not be flattered.

So please provide this part, I can not see from the photo.

IMHO you has the FS-101. Very nice find. Hard to grade this but I see somewhere 40 to 45, so it is a 325 to 375$ coin. Nice

A lot of circulation removed some of the DDO on this one:

1965-Washington-Quarter---DDO-FS-101?
1965-Washington-Quarter---DDO-FS-101?

But Machine Doubling was present on that years DDO. I feel that prices above is not correct knowing the coin wear on this example.
