Hi all,

I have just been given this coin by my Mum and have some history to share. My family was given a gold coin every year at Christmas (60's / 70's) by a manufacturer in Germany. We think this company made Scovill Electric scissors - but that doesn't seem to stack up as its an american company.

The coins did come in a plastic wallet - the wallet is branded Volksbank.

@lou, first welcome to CCF. Second, any chance you can add a couple pics of one of the gold coins? You are right that the packaging might not have come from the mint. Thx.

I think the Volksbank wrapper is Austrian in origin, rather than German.
