I find these so hard to determine on 1873 Nickels. This one looks like closed to be, but probably because I want it to be :)

I believe yours is an open '3'. Link to a slabbed closed '3'

I think it's the Open 3 as well, but circulation damage to the digit might be obscuring something. A die expert would know.
