Both are worth face value. If they were crisp uncirculated they may have extra but in the condition no extra value.

Even if it's not worth more than five dollars, I recommend keeping the five if you can afford to do so just because it is cool. The chances of ever getting another one like that in your change are slim to none.

The 1950a $5 note in paper money of the united states is valued at $10 in VF20 circulated condition, while if its uncirculated it shows a higher value of $30 so in the future if you can avoid folding it or causing any additional wear it could potentially increase value a bit when you come across something good. You can check places like ebay to see if any similar notes have been offered using sold listings not the listing prices whats currently being offered as they may never sell at the listed price. This is because supply and demand can change what a bill is being sold for to be different than what the price guides suggest. The 1976 $2 note in paper money of the united states is typically valued around $3 in extra fine 40 circulated condition, while if its uncirculated it shows a higher value of $10 https://www.pmgnotes.com/paper-mone...ading-scale/ The two-dollar bill is one of the most rarely seen in circulation and actual use. They are almost never given as change for commercial transactions, and thus consumers rarely have them on hand. There seems to be a lack of public knowledge now that the bill is even still in production and circulation and accepted in all those vending and self checkout machines etc. People are apparently hording them thinking wrongly they are rarer and more valuable than they are and so there are plenty of top grade examples out there if you want to obtain one. Although they are generally available at most banks, two-dollar notes are usually not handed out except upon specific request by the customer, and may require the teller to make a trip to the vault, or order the desired amount if not present at the branch. Still a cool find I rarely ever see $2 in pocket change and some like to hold them until they find a better condition one when there isn't high value to a note.

Your welcome. Just keep in mind that condition makes a big difference and if there are plenty of examples of a note in uncirculated top condition for just a small amount more, most people would be less interested in the circulated example (and so like here people would say its a spender to me). However lets say a note costs thousands in the top grades, in that case it may be too much for a collector and they would consider getting a circulated one since its far less. People will generally buy (or is recommended to) the best grade example you can afford unless the top example is too far higher to be worth it to that collector. ebay and Auction Sites sold listings are always good additional places to gather information on potential values. Its good to use them together with the guides.

Data Dragons values are higher than what one can generally get/buy. I recently picked up 1976 Crisp Uncirculated $2 star notes for a little over $3 each. This was a run of 9 consecutive serial numbers. So $3 for a circulated one is optimistic. Same with the 1950, you can get EF/AU notes for $10, yours is VF at best, I highly doubt you would get more than face. In reality someone "might" pay more than its worth but the notes posted are just spenders.

Spenders. No one would pay over face for those.

I'd keep the $5 unless I already had one of Series 1950 A in better condition
