We are going to send this in for grading but wanted to get everyone's thoughts. It's in a sleeve so the pictures could be better. You can see lint on the penny unfortunately, but it is just lint. There are two minor hairline marks but no other marks. We are thinking the grading could be MS69, but not sure. Thoughts? Might need to take new pics!

Given the images posted, it looks like the coin may (may.......) be plated. Better pics could help better determine what we're looking at. Include an end-on photo of the rim. Thanks.

To CCF , bad images to proper evaluate on this coin . Need clearer photos . If this came out of an OBW roll then color looks off .

Given the newest pics posted, I believe it's a plated/reprocessed steel cent.

please dont spend your $$ slabbing coins. there is no reason to do that unless a coin is at least $150 or rare and you want to authenticate it. just put them in an air tight capsule and enjoy them

most seasoned collectors dont even slab their coins due to the cost. you could expect to spend about $22 plus shipping/insurance per coin each way plus a subscription to a grading service. PCGS charges a minimum of $69 for a subscription. so you can see it really is not worth grading any average coin.

if you have a question or concern about a coin, just post it here. we will let you know.
