1988 Quarter With A Strange Error - Coin Community Forum

Flippincoins0 New Member United States 30 Posts	Posted 01/13/2023 11:07 am I found this 1988 Quarter with this impression on both sides. It does not look like PMD. The area is all textured the same inside the depression. It is on both sides, but most prominent on the obverse side. There is little damage to quarters design on the revers across the left wing and leaves. Anyone have any thoughts? Report this Post to the Staff

More specifically, someone impressed the crude silhouette of an erect penis and scrotum in front of Washington's face. This is the second "dick face" quarter I've come across. I think it's a strike through debris on the die or planchet. You really have to look at the detail inside the penis, along the edge. I feel like, if this was done intentionally, it would be more anatomically correct. I will have it looked at locally and get back... Report this Post to the Staff
