1989 D RPM possibility. I searched wexlers. Please help! keeper or spender? it does have some corrosion but I see the d peeking through

@koi, that is split plate doubling rather than a doubled die. It Carrie's no numismatic premium. This cent would be a spender for me.

agreed, that looks like split plating - you can see the zinc showing through.

I agree with the split plating diagnosis. Next stop zinc rot. The peaking grey colour gives it away.

@foot, plating blisters aren't anything thing to get excited about. It's damage, not an error coin. And besides, there're are tons of zinc rot blister coins available (and more forming everyday)!
