I tried to find info online about this coin with little success. What's up with the mint mark being in a lower position ? Also looks dd. And the reverse is deformed but I see a lot of them online that resemble this. Fill me in please

It's normal for that era of coins.

Prior to 1980 mint marks were individually applied by hand (die punch) to each new working die so there is some variation in their specific location. Yours is within expected tolerance. If you like it keep it but there is no numismatic premium for it.

Your image is out of focus - but also looks like the interior of the D mint mark contains a die chip (broken post) which fills part of the letter.

edit for spllgening

@bor, we usually tell folks that there is no premium for a misplaced mintmark unless it is touching some other design element.

As long as the mintmark is in the general area it's normal. The mintmark die was applied my hand through 1990.
