1949 D cent on the obverse is that a small Cud on his ear or just PMD what about on the right wheat durham on the reverse is it post mint damage or what is it
Given the posted pics, I'm the thinking the ear feature is moved metal from a circulation hit. Can't, however, rule out a die chip. Cuds--by numismatic definition--are associated with a coin's rim, not the coin's interior. That linear feature on the reverse appears to be post-strike damage--note the 'ticks' on the rim, extending from the feature running through the wheat stalk.
