Anything is possible, there could have been grease in the die filling the mintmark. If you have one, it is much more likely that it is a business strike Philadelphia coin. Posting pictures would be the only way we could know for sure.

I have not heard of one yet. Are you just asking in general or do you believe that you have one? If you do, Please post A picture should always accompany a post if asking about a specific coin they are asking about.

Thanks for the pictures! they are helpful. But do you also have an image of the reverse? What you appear to have is a polished business strike quarter from the Philadelphia Mint

Business strike, possibly plated after leaving the Mint.

But the thickness of the coin and the rim as well as it's a mirrored coin just very hard to get the mirrored part on the camera just right

Legendaryguru, can you tell us the weight of this coin?
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

An accurate weight would be useful. Too, I'm not seeing a proof coin.

Going to buy new scale today sorry just got busy I've compared to many Philly coins and they are just very different looking not tryna to go against what y'all are telling me bc y'all know way more than me but it's hard to explain with a couple of pics what I'm trying to say it's just different.

I can see what you mean about looking different. It appears to have been struck with fairly high pressure, sharp rims, and there was some mis-alignment of the dies causing the double looking rim on the right side of the obverse. It may also have been struck on a slightly thick planchet, an accurate weight would tell whether this is the case or not. Regardless, it is a normal business strike Philadelphia minted coin.
