1988 D Lincoln Cent Repunched Mint Mark / RPM Doubled Die Obverse / DDO Or PMD?

Your mintmark looks like Machine Doubling to me, but additional photos could tell differently. Report this Post to the Staff

But if the east loop of the mintmark was affected, we should see the same thing happening on the up right area as well. https://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln...ie_state=mds If there were several examples like your coin, it could be a RPM. But if there is only one, then it is probably contact damage. See if the outer edge of a coin could affect that area like this? (Try smallest coins first) Report this Post to the Staff
