I found this 1988 Lincoln Penny with what appears to be doubling on the D mint mark. Would this be a doubled die, RPM or PMD? Thank you so much for your help!

Please point out exactly where, besides the mintmark, that you see doubling, them provide a closeup in that area. Your mintmark looks like Machine Doubling to me, but additional photos could tell differently.

Please work on taking better photos,the better the photos you post the better we can help.Not seeing doubling and the MM looks like PMD to me.

Everything looks normal to me. The D took a hit on the loop.

This may have been a contact mark. I didn't see a match on coppercoins. But if the east loop of the mintmark was affected, we should see the same thing happening on the up right area as well.

If there were several examples like your coin, it could be a RPM. But if there is only one, then it is probably contact damage. See if the outer edge of a coin could affect that area like this? (Try smallest coins first)
