I think this is a cool anomaly on a 2022 P quarter in the American Woman Series. My first "nose wart."

A "nose wart" is good enough for me but, a die chip is what it is. Otherwise, pretty coin!

Just curious, is George doubled?

Probably the chip on the die was formed as a die clash issue. I'll have to catch up on this overlay. Not made yet.
Doesn't appear that the clash didn't have anything to do with this chip..

The photograph above does like the coin is doubled. I thought it may be, so I'm glad you mentioned that @dsking, but I am completely naïve in the doubling department, because sometimes I think I see doubling everywhere. Would excess lighting cause a doubling effect on a photographed coin? Is there any suggestions out there?

Coop, I am unfamiliar with die clash issues causing die chip issues. I will be researching this... thx.

Well on one I found a while back it appears that the clash may have caused the die chip. Thus the heads up to see if this is a cause of die chips. This one was not caused by this.

Coop, I think I just found the post about the possible die chip caused by the die clash on the Sally Ride quarter. Thanks. I will keep this in mind while looking at these die chips.

The die clash errors are really cool. I am looking forward to finding one eventually.

When I read the title, I went and started looking for the chip/wart on Anna's nose. Not George's. lol

but yes, a die chip in the nose (George's)

@dsking. I referenced our question about the excess lighting and the photo above on another post.
