Guys it is obvious that there are several issues with this coin, question what could have caused them? Dryer? I noticed there is a lot of pitting in the material.

We could speculate all day long. Doesn't look like a typical Dryer Coin. But it's had a rough life and it didn't happen at the mint.

Yes, post-strike damage--perhaps very early stage Dryer Coin with some plating issues.

The surface of the coin looks to be scrubbed somehow, the rim is not raised, so I would not say it is a Dryer Coin, but rather a sanded issue removing the high points.
