Help I Have A 1982 Penny Can It Be Rainbow Or Anything Else?

ijn1944 Bedrock of the Community United States 19126 Posts	Posted 01/25/2023 8:44 pm Looks to be toning--a reaction of the copper when exposed to environmental agents. Some staining may be in-play as well. Not uncommon with Lincoln cents. The pebbly surface is likely die to 'dust' issues with the zinc core, to include the emergence of plating bubbles--not uncommon with earlier zinc core cents. Report this Post to the Staff
