Is it just me, or is this one missing something? Found it in a bank box of penny rolls last night. It weighs 2.5 gms.

*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

It looks to me like the plating has been stripped off of this cent leaving behind the zinc core. Are you thinking this was struck on an un-plated planchet?

to the CCF If you found it in a roll it's probably not a Texas Cent, but the plating has been removed somehow.

Please, when you want to know something, be specific and don't make us guess. I see several things you might ask about. We're bad at guessing. What is it exactly you'd like to know?

Missing colour?
Missing features?
Missing letters?
