Silviosi, thank you for that compilation of foreign coins struck by the US Mint. I was aware of the following, and have picked up a few. Some of them are a bit pricey, however. If one particular coin is in your vision PM me and I will give you all the specs, as gr, diameter, alloy, thickness and also no of the struck and where was struck. Some time people want to convince me an Phill coin was on foreign planchet, but in reality those was done in Denver or elsewhere.

Of course I do. Australian wartime Florins Shillings Sixpences and Threepences in .925 sterling silver were struck at the Denver and San Francisco Mints. That means the US Mint has struck coins using dies that have the effigy of George V1, that was designed by Thomas Hugh Paget from the British Royal Mint. They ain't ' foreign' to me !

The real trick is to find American coins struck on planchets intended for foreign use. It's rare and sometimes hard to detect, but it has happened.

Examples exist of Australian Florins struck on US wartime nickel blanks. They are extremely rare, and command many thousands of dollars at public auction.

Silverosi: Thanks for the excellent list of foreign coins struck at US Mints. I notice the the latest date for any foreign coin is for the Panama 1 Centavo, (KM# 22); the copyright for the listing is dated 2014.
It seems that since 1983, the US Mint no longer contracts to produce coins for foreign countries.
Although not obvious in the listing, the 1944 Belgian 2 Francs was struck on planchets originally intended for the wartime 1943 US zinc coated steel Cents.
