This is a zinc cent. No lamination issues on these coins. Looks like heat damage or something on the surface of the coin. (Glue?) Not a plus for this coin. Look for die varieties to see what to look for on these. Damage is just damage on a coin. If it had a premium, the damage would reduce the value of the variety. But as it, it is a spender.

really doesn't nail it if you add something the weight would increase from its original weight.

what is its exact weight out to 2 decimal points?
What is on this coin probably wouldn't add much. Also the coin could have started out a tiny bit underweight too.
