here is another large cent for everyone to grade. in addition to my thoughts I also have a tom reynolds EAC grade and a PCGS grade for this one that I will share in a day or two. its no longer in the PCGS holder but I still have the insert. Edited by CarrsCoins 02/05/2023 12:14 am

Beautiful example. There is some strike weakness but no apparent wear. I'd guess MS64RB.

I'll say MS-64RB as well. Just a knockout.

MS-63 RB, though I am not recalling what % has to be red to get that designation. Beautiful example.

kinda forgot about this one. The chiefs went to and won the super bowl and its been a fun couple weeks. PCGS graded it MS64RB and reynolds called it 63. i agree with both assessments. the biggest flaw is the light scratches in front of the nose. Quote: though I am not recalling what % has to be red to get that designation rb is between 5 and 95% red. I have no idea how one would determine the difference between 4 and 5% red though. to me it feels like one of those things where they are implying a level of precision that isn't actually there.

Jim super nice late date large cent, the grade is right where I was thinking MS64RB for PCGS and MS62 or 63 for EAC grading. Beauty of a coin!

Quote: I have no idea how one would determine the difference between 4 and 5% red though. its all subjective. in this case it looks like there is more than 5% red. I dont think anyone who graded this one would have tossed a BN on it. notice everyone here called the color
