@jnf, first welcome to CCF. Second, by "good", do you mean real vs. fake? Please be a little more descriptive in your post so that we can be more helpful. Also, you are definitely going to want to add a picture of the reverse of this coin to the thread. Thx.

Welcome! We definitely need clear obverse and reverse photos to be able to best help. The 1881-O is a pretty common Morgan. Better photos will help us give you a grade and price point

Try taking a deep breath and hold it while you take the shot. It might help with the blurring.

Looks like a common date Morgan, perhaps a slider. Value in the neighborhood of $30-$40. The light glare on the edge makes it look copper but if you could verify weight and diameter we could probably rule out a fake.

Jnfr, I use this simple setup to take quick pics of coins with my iPhone. Put the coin on a white background (here a business card) and place your phone on a stable stack of items so that you can suitably focus on the coin and adjust the zoom so that the coin fills most of the field. Set your picture mode to square. Use the image processing tools here to adjust image size to < 300kb.I grabbed a junker large cent out of my rando box for this pic.

Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
