Will there be more auctions? Seems like a rather small and narrow grouping to me. Also wondering if the Blay-Duckor Collection is the same Blay - several Lincoln cents sold there in 2020 with that provenance. And there is a Lincoln 1922 No D in MS65 Red currently being auctioned, listed as a "duplicate from the Stewart Blay Red Copper Collection", $62.5K so far with 3 days left.

GC does a fair amount of Canadian but I've only bought US from them so far. 165 current listings. More bang for the buck than Heritage especially if you pay by eCheck.

There have been several auctions of his material already. All of his collections were copper as far as I know. His US cents were truly outstanding and included many amazing grade rarities. They are now just dealing with leftovers I think.

eCheck doesn't work for canadian account unfortunately, you have to use other options like Wire transfer where they add a $35 fees, add that to the Bank transaction fees and you are around Cad$80 by payment, (up to 4 payments if you use the 3 months plan).

Especially if your credit card have a cash return or something similar, its something to think about if your invoice is under US$10K

Also, it seems S. Duckor knew S. Blay quite well, calling him his ''copper mentor'' and Blay collected a few other series in the shadow of his monumental copper collection ( Barber dimes notably) so its likely him.

I guess the other auctions were elsewhere? I searched GC archives for Blay and only got a couple dozen results, mostly the coins mentioned here and the handful earlier from Blay-Duckor. I noted quite a few Belzberg coins. Sucks that you can't use eCheck across the border. I suppose I get around 2.5% cash back on my CC so the eCheck discount is probably a wash anyway.

GC did not call the main auctions a "Blay" auction. Check out the Sunday auctions from maybe 3 to 6 weeks ago in the cent category. Some amazing things like his 1919, 1955 double die etc.
