Think this damage is probably due too the center hole causing heat stress too metal, I'm only guessing they used some sort of heat too produce the centre hole , well this is my theory.
Seen other centre holes with extra metal that looks melted.

From what I've found that this is an actual error thin giza stamped with raised wavy lines. Please correct me if I'm wrong with this.
