I was looking thru my grandpa's junk silver quarters and found this. The old fellow's definitely seen better days but it still made me happy.

He had quite a lot of 1964's, especially D's. I also think I might have seen a couple Type C's—some of the coins, the leaf above the A is barely there, and others it's more prominent with an obvious center. I'll have to go back through and look closer at the leaves by the arrows as well.

Ok it is bit up this coin but seem to be Type B. Show me other 1964 and 1964-D you think are different. Maybe I will buy one from you. Not this. I look for 1964 Type C on any condition to be able to analyze. The 1964-D I have in 66, 65 and 64.

Thanks, Silviosi. I'll go through them again tonight if I can and shoot you photos. Fair warning, though: the coins I'm talking about are all junk silver that Grandpa pulled out of his till—the coin you see above is a fair example of the condition for most of them. If he found any that were better, he probably put them with his "real" collection, which was stolen.

it's a type b. I look at them everyday in search of the 1956, 1961 and 1964 to complete my type b collection.

Save it in a 2x2,

@Silviosi I apologize. As you probably suspected I don't have any Type C's. I was thinking I did based on these images, which appear to suggest that the differences to look for are in the leaves on the wreath, above the A and by the arrowheads. I did see a few coins that looked different than the others so I was thinking they might be Type C.

I did more research before going back thru the coins and based on Coop's info and a couple other sites I looked at it seems the more easy way to identify Type C is the well-defined tailfeathers that are typical of 1965 quarters.

I didn't see any tailfeathers that well defined when I went through with a better magnifier tonight so. again I apologize.

I do not suspect you do not have because exist in the wild, how we say. I just ask to show me picture and I will confirm to you which it is or not. what you has from Jason was already been a little bit different. I think who work with the pictures mixt and is it. COOP put a marker but not more. I have 24 and 25 points for each variety. The Type C pics miss the most important. Type C 1964 I never had , I saw at the reserve with Ken or Hicks long time ago but never find in wild. I think was Hicks not Ken. The 64-D I find, very scarce only 0.01% strike. The rest 1965 till 1967 inclusive, strike and SMS are Unconfirmed except 1967 that I have and it is rare till now.

If you really like those beautiful coins, I can help you see what you has. But one things: I do not help no one from flu flu ebay or Esty creasy sell. If not you wait my book.

I will certainly ask for your help when I get a little more organized, Silviosi. I appreciate your help here. I'll never sell Grandpa's coins—too sentimental. But I am trying to get through them and pull out anything worth extra attention, because when I'm gone the coins will go to someone who never knew Grandpa and won't be sentimental about them. I want her to know what she has so she can make decisions on what to do with them. Plus I just enjoy going through them and exploring them.
