PCGS - The "No FG" Kennedy half dollars were created by reverse dies which are missing the initials of the engraver Frank Gasparro, creating in the process three varieties for Kennedy and variety collectors alike.

Correct, The usual dates of the no FG halves are 1966 SMS, 1972D and 1982P. According to PCGS, If you cant see any trace of the initials under 5X magnification it should be considered as a no FG. If even a trace is noticed under 5x magnification it would be a weak FG with no premium for the variety.
