Could be a 53 but, I'll go with a 55 as well. Not enough details on the hair or feathers to take it up to an AU58.
Otherwise, that's a real keeper! Congrats!

Sadly, thought that might be the case. A bit generous with the UNC side of things, as they usually are with details designations. Unfortunate, but still a decent example.

my guess is the botchy surfaces are a marker for a cleaning that whatever was used was not rinsed properly

Yeah if it has a dull gray look it will get details cleaned in my experience with TPGs I thought this might just make it straight grade with the small pieces of luster on reverse but it didn't make it. At least its an unc details grade so it's a keeper for now or a trade in a future coin purchase.
