Hello! I am wondering is this is feeder fingers on the front of this coin? If not is it PMD?

*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

Feeder Finger Damage appears mostly in the fields, your example instead shows damage on the devices

I am sorry I am very new to looking at coins. When you say damage on the devices do you mean damage on the coun or something was damaged when the coin was minted?

Oh wait a minute. You mean the flat part of the coin is where Feeder Finger Damage is and mine is all over! Ah ha & I wonder what the heck happened to it. Makes me so curious and that is why I keep looking at coins... it is so interesting to me.

feeder fingers mostly affect the highest places on the die, which are the empty fields that are deepest into the coin

coin devices like a portrait and raised lettering are the low spots on the die, so are relatively protected from the scrape of feeder fingers

At first glance reminds me of roller marks on the obverse. Thanks, Doug.

The roller will not affect the finish coin on the Rim. Feder finger for 2004? wow will be a new novelty. On the chain of minting the feeders fingers disappeared in 2000. The roller marks could not be also on the rim, so your coin is PMD.
