Why would anyone trade $1 million lib head for $1 million st gaudens? The libs probably need to provide a discount on the trade up to the better design.

In this particular case, in the knowledge that all dates of American gold coins have been faked, I would like to see every gold coin on both sides of the deal checked for authenticity.
There is a small possibility that there could be only one or two 'black sheep' on either side of the deal, and that would make make the deal unfair.
It would help if all coins on both sides of the deal were slabbed.
I also agree with the views of numismatic student, mainly because I happen to prefer the St Gaudens Double Eagle design above all other American gold coin designs.
I am not a fan of most coin youtubers. Their content usually isn't expansive and they don't strive to learn more than surface level information. Was there anything learned from this video? All I learned is that they wore gloves so the audience wasn't triggered.

This video was mostly for entertainment. I liked it, enjoyed seeing all that gold. YouTube channels/videos range from fun to rare coins, US Mint products, general stacking of PMs, etc. The US Mint, PCGS, NGC, ANA, auctions houses like Heritage, etc. have YouTube channels. We can all watch what we want.
I'll never forget... working for a Trader at the time he received a call from the widow of a Barclay Bank executive, who had a few hundred Gold Sovereigns put-away by her husband. I felt awful for the lady when we had to tell her that every one of the coins was Counterfeit. Gold, yes, but not Royal Mint products. You have to examine every raw Gold coin nowadays...

Was there ever a time when this wasn't the case. It's not like counterfeiting of gold coins was invented in my lifetime.

Numismatic Student: Maybe "Now More Than Ever".. I remember maybe it was in 1973 that Jack Stone of Hub Stamp and Coin had a big basket in his window of $5 Libs for $35 ea. That any would be counterfeit wasn't a thought at the time
