Has anyone got any thoughts on this coin, it's not a design I have ever seen before and can't find much information about it from google.

Thank you in advance

The nearest equivalent I could find was for a pattern General issue silver dollar One Yuan of 1914, - the third year of the Republic of China,
illustrated on page 28 of the
Illustrated Catalogue of Chinese gold and Silver Coins, by Lin Gwo Ming, publ by Taisei Stamps & Coins (HK) Ltd. (over 1000 types of silver coins illustrated, Chinese and English text).

Of the Op's picture, I am little apprehensive of the slightly 'pasty' appearance of the fields. Weight and XRF testing could be helpful.

I have one like that, but mine's not rare silver- just an ordinary fake.
I value mine at 70 cents
