The 1999 Richmond note has the treasury seal and the serial numbers lower than normal.

The 1999 Atlanta note has the treasury seal and serial numbers low and to the right.

Cool notes.

Nice Misaligned Overprint Errors - Third Printing Misalignment Error With both bills the serials are incorrectly touching other elements on the note they shouldnt which is where it becomes an error and has some good value. The seal or the serial number has to interfere with another part of the printing it shouldnt in other words and not just being a bit high or low. Condition of the note always plays a role in its value. Its normal to have some minor movement in the seal and is not considered an error on its own.

Nice finds.

Too bad the Atlanta note circulated to that state of wear before you rescued it.

Very nice errors. Did you find these in the wild recently?

I purchased a group of assorted banknotes. I don't get that lucky in the wild.

What surprises me is how well-worn that second note is. All those people handling the note, and nobody noticed anything unusual? Or at least didn't think it worth keeping, or even checking with a counterfeit pen?
