This wheat has a die crack that matches stage C in Wexler guide. Left stalk around 1. I think the designation is WDDO-001. The coin doesn't appear to have any other markers contained in stage b or stage a. Can you identify the coin as a stage C WDDO- 001 or is just a 1909 with a die crack. To be labeled with an attribution, do coins need to have all the markers in all the stages, or just some of them? Thanks

It would help if the reverse showed up. John, what you say makes sense now. I definitely don't see doubling, what I see is a die marker on the reverse in the same position noted in t wddo-001, stage C.
Not seeing any DDO, trying to match die cracks first to a DDO is working backwards. Cracks happen all the time in the same locations on many dies from many years due to stress areas in those locations. You first need to identify a possible DDO - then try to find matching die markers to that particular die.
