I have heard that the "U" coin had a Cud but have never found one despite finding heaps of them while noodling. Has anyone ever seen one? Are there any other things to look for on those coins? They don't seem to be highly sought after despite being low mintage. What do others think of them?

Thanks for the info. I will have to keep looking.
It is also interesting to read about the $2 coin. I suspect those ones are like the 75th anniversary $2 coins that have the colours randomly applied. Probably all like that with randomly applied color. I do have a 75th anniversary coin with the colours in the right orientation and I've pit that one in a capsule.
Now going to take a closer look at the 2022 coins I have collected.

Quote: I found the 2022 $2 Australian Commonwealth Games - Letter 'A' with various orientations. It is my understanding that it all depends on how a coin falls in the tray during the pad printing process that produces the different colour orientations, thereby resulting in numerous possibilities.

I came across this 2019 $1 Discovery Australia Letter ' S' with a Die Chip on Kangaroo. I have gone through hundreds of these $1 Discovery Australia 'A', 'U' and 'S' and only found 2 of this ' Die Chip'. Anyone else seen this? Here are some images under 'Natural Light' and 'Bright Light' for your reference.

About the paint being upside-down I found out that it's not an error, BUT on coins in mint sets it possibly can be because coins for sets are made with much more care and the Mint will try make sure they are all positioned one way. This is where all the confusion came from especially with the aboriginal flag coin.
