Hi everyone, I've got several Ike dollars and still unable to distinguish grade or type. They look in pretty good shape, but I'm a novice. Any help from the pros would be much appreciated.

I'll try again later! It's not easy to make resolutions fit into the posts on the site. Thanks Raiden!

It would be best to photograph them individually. However, It looks like you have five regular and four bicentennial.

for grading, you might find the best one and post a pic of just it in the grading subforum

If you want to learn grading for yourself, there are books available. Then you won't be a newb forever. :) Many of the books have the grading information for each coin. Someone had taken the grading standards and the specific coin, meshed the information together and then explain where to look. I have found the books very helpful. Or you can check out the grading standards. Also, very informative. Here is a link. https://www.money.org/official-grading-standardsAnd there is a source where you can look at various graded coins and see how they look. Link. https://www.PCGS.com/photograde/For your collection of Ikes, I suggest you determine if they are Uncirculated (Unc), Almost Uncirculated (AU), or Extra Fine (EF or XF), or lesser quality. Don't worry about the "number" grade yet. After looking at many coins that skill may come to you. Good luck.

Check the bicentennial for FAT lettering on the RV. These are rarer and worth keeping. Happy Hunting!

I split your larger and better images of the 1972 into its own topic and moved that to the grading forum for comment. http://goccf.com/t/441718

For grading it is best to have larger photos of each coin in separate threads.
