The latest ASE is ready to purchase (if you have a subscription, that is) The mint already processed my payment and ordered it.

That's weird. I just checked the mint site and it shows no orders for me for the ASE but I've had a subscription since last year. It shows I am still subscribed. This is for the Proof W coin, right?

Nice , you must be toward the front of the line. The United States Mint will accept orders for the 2023 American Eagle Silver Proof Coin (W) beginning on March 2 at noon EST for the plebs (non subscribers). If you are a pleb, do not worry, this one ounce proof coin is minted to demand , with orders limited to 25 coins per household for the first 24 hours of sale. https://www.usmint.gov/news/press-r...e-on-march-2

Mine hit my card at 11:42AM Central.
I had kind of forgotten about it... all the subscriptions now really mean I don't have to actually get on the US Mint site very often at all now, unless I'm researching something.

There is also the congratulations set that contains the same 2023 American Eagle Silver Proof Coin (W) but with enhanced packaging for $2 more released at same time. The product limit is 40,000 for that if the packaging is considered more resellable or collectable to some of you. Some people I mean send them in to get graded for the special label since registry set people are among those that buy them while others feel the labels dont hold any meaning/value to get them. Of course the proof is now $80 and not $73 as the last two years. https://catalog.usmint.gov/congratu...uct-schedule

United States Mint 2023 American Eagle (W) Silver Proof Coin Available on March 2 WASHINGTON - The United States Mint (Mint) will accept orders for the 2023 American Eagle Silver Proof Coin (W) beginning on March 2 at noon EST. This one ounce proof coin is minted to demand, with orders limited to 25 coins per household for the first 24 hours of sale. Produced at the United States Mint at West Point since 1986, American Eagle Silver Proof Coins are collector versions of the official United States Mint American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins. These popular silver collectibles were updated in 2021 with a refreshed obverse (heads) and a completely redesigned reverse (tails) to mark the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Program. Like its bullion counterpart, the obverse of the American Eagle Silver Proof Coin features sculptor Adolph A. Weinman's full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. Using technological advancements in the design and minting process, the coin encompasses some of Weinman's original details, which renders a closer reflection of his original vision, including the addition of his traditional artist mark. Inscriptions are "LIBERTY," "2023," and "IN GOD WE TRUST." The reverse features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest. Inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR." United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program Designer Emily Damstra created the design that retired United States Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso sculpted. In addition to the redesigned reverse and enhanced design details on the obverse, the American Eagle Silver Proof Coins are minted in high detail using new technology and include a reed pattern variation. The Mint benchmarked its efforts against anti-counterfeiting programs implemented by major mints around the world. These features will make the coins more difficult to counterfeit. The 2023 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof (W) is priced at $80.00.

Did anybody get stuck in the 'waitroom'? Please, if you did, let us know how it went.

I did the virtual waiting room for the congratulations set (the normal packaged proof eagle I'm on a subscription). I was probably only in there for a minute at most before being let in after launch. Website ran very smoothly. I grabbed 2 of the congrats set. The "cleaner" one will be given to my sister and future BIL as a wedding gift later this year. The one I don't keep I'll either sell (if there's demand) or return.
As of posting, there's still 18k of them left. I'm surprised they're still lingering since it's been a hot item the last couple of years (unless the product limit and waiting room has tamed the bots for now until tomorrow).

Quote: unless the product limit and waiting room has tamed the bots for now until tomorrow Hopefully that is true, which means the waiting room is doing a good job.

I logged into the waiting room at 10:55 EST, went right in at 11:00 and ordered 2. No problemo!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
