Does look fatter on the upper half than I'm used to seeing. Too bad about the major damage to the rim.

WADR, I would not even bother analyzing this coin because of the damage. Any possible premium is negated by the damage.http://varietyvista.com/01b%20LC%20...20Styles.htm

The bottoms of the 'S' are different on the inverted examples:
1946-S-I-Believe-Its-An-Inverted-S-Mintmark
It is inverted Ball serif mintmarks that have the inverted examples:
1946-S-I-Believe-Its-An-Inverted-S-Mintmark
