found this 1968 when looking thru a 68 roll. Found 3 or 4 of these. I can't find any info on it. VV doesn't have a clickable 1968 DDR listing. What do you guys think? Sorry about the crappy photos. Still struggling with photos. I have probably 15 LMC's from my late fathers penny rolls from the late 50's and all of the 60's rolls he had with errors, but just can't get good pics to post them. Still have 10 more rolls to search.

Looks like MD to me. When looking up a coin find you need to check all three reference sites every time,CC-VV and Wexler.

Well it is Machine Doubling. While it only affects the tops of the devices is because of the a high bounce. But why is it not a doubled die? Because of the devices are normal in size. The affected areas are reduced. No spread on the devices. On the DDR, there would be spread:

Because of the high bounce the Machine Doubling affected just the tops of the devices.

There is doubling along the right side of the memorial as well. This is md? Also a little line north on the complete left side of the memorial at the first step up. What are the chances of finding 3 of these that are 95% the same?

Thanx for the replies gentlemen. I see what you are saying coop about things being on top of the devices. I just noticed is there a spread west on the 12th column? Is it a common occurrence for there to be multiple coins showing the same md? Or should I go buy a lottery ticket? Lol

Could someone pleaseeeee tell me what I am doing wrong when doing an advance search on CC. I populate the fields click search at the bottom and it keeps coming up " no fields selected"
I have tried at least 15 made up random searches and keep getting "no fields selected"
