I don't know which of the various State Quarter dates are more rare for errors, but generally these sell for about $20 and make for an affordable error to add to a collection. This one doesn't make the keeper cut.

Nice. A pocket find or in a group you picked up?
(EDIT- LOL The next thread I looked at had the answer. I see this was in a group of 10.)

So the separation of the design from the rim near NIA is the result of being struck "out of collar" correct?
(And not struck twice or MD)
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

Thanks for the great comments! And yes, just off center without any double strikes or other funny business going on that I can see. Suppose I should also note that the coin really is a keeper coin, I just already have a few State Quarter off centers in my collection and since they aren't what I primarily collect I just don't need more of them so things get sold off.
